This session focused on updates in diabetes care and management. We highlighted new drugs to market and delve into navigating the ongoing shortages of GLP1 medications. Updates were provided on continuous glucose monitor technology, including the newly approved Stelo Glucose Biosensor system by Dexcom, available OTC, without a prescription. We felt that it was important for members of ACB-Diabetics in Action to have the chance to meet Scott and question him about his plans for ACB. Scott grew up in North Carolina, and is blind himself, losing his vision due to Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) after being diagnosed at the age of eight and told at 15 he would be blind by 40.
